“Yokes And Burdens“

Matthew 11:28-30 – ““Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (KJV).

Just what is Jesus saying here, and how will it affect you???

First of all … A yoke is like a harness that enables you to work effectively. A burden is a duty or a responsibility that you have.

When you become a Christian; you are signing up for a life-time commitment, and Jesus is saying that He will harness you up so you can serve Him and that His burden is light.

Also, Jesus expects you to learn of Him. You should be studying and learning all you can about Jesus… That means reading and studying your bible as much as you can.

Being a Christian is not just a Sunday and Wednesday thing… It is a 24/7 thing. Your life will be better, your life will be more fulfilling, and your home in Heaven will be waiting for you.
